ioping software package provides Simple disk I/O latency measuring tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ioping
ioping is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ioping package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ioping *
You will get with ioping package name, version, architecture and description in a table
